Great place to stay
Price: $35 per person, per night. Sleeps 6. Occupation exclusive to single group.
This secluded, charming and rustic cabin is fully equipped by Northland Sea Kayaking with running water, gas burners, kitchen utensils, chilly box, beds (bring sleeping bags!) and veranda with knockout bay view. The cabin has consistently received rave reviews from tour participants wishing to stay over before or after a long day's paddle, or here for multi-day tours.
John Hutton, writing for the New Zealand Herald travel section described his cabin experience thus:
"While there are more sophisticated options at nearby Tauranga Bay and Whangaroa, we quicky bonded to this basic but cosy hideaway. The coastal view from its panoramic front is superb. With no electricity (the kitchen is gas-powered) the mix of candlelight and moonlight proved both relaxing and romantic. And to round things off, there's an amazing "air-con" bathroom, complete with flush toilet and shower in a private bush setting."
